1989 Radar Rat (Battlefield Robot)

All four Battlefield Robots were designed by Guy Cassaday. He optimized costs by utilizing the maroon gun, missiles, and whip antenna on both Cobra Battlefield Robots and the gray wheels, green whip antenna, missiles and missile rack on both G.I.Joe Battlefield Robots.

The Radar Rat features several moving parts and play features.

The Radar Rat is G.I. Joe's mobile intelligence-gathering unit.

The Radar Rat's key feature is the MM-15 "Flat Face" target track/guidance parabolic dishes.

These dishes feature a servo-powered dish rotation unit.

The triple-member stressed dish support column tilts back 90 degrees for faster travel.

The dishes feature an IR filtered central radar reception diaphragm.

A rotating TWS (track while scan) triple-launch missile mount houses three "Low Blow" terminal homing / semi-active radar missiles.

The upright-positioning single seat driver cockpit features a "Quick Stick" power-assisted steering bar and a seat-belt.

The Radar Rat is powered by a 250 HP fuel injected transverse mounted V-6 engine.
