Late 1986 Lunchbox (Aladdin) featuring Sgt. Slaughter

This plastic G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero lunchbox was created by Aladdin Industries, who dominated the consumer lunch products category from the 1950s-1980s due to a strategic move in the early 1950s to license popular characters' images on its products.
The painted artwork featured on this lunchbox was modified from the 1986 product catalog artwork featured on the early 1986 Aladdin lunchbox. Hector Garrido added Sgt. Slaughter, his Triple-T tank, a Dragonfly, and a Skystriker, and he removed Mainframe, Wet-Suit, Lifeline, General Hawk and the young boy on the left. This version of the Live the Adventure artwork was created for the either this lunchbox or the Winter 1987 issue of G.I.Joe Magazine, where it was featured as the fold out poster. The included Thermos featured line art versions of various 1987 G.I.Joes. Roll over the images below to find out more, or click the images to enlarge them.
