Episode #3: Jim Sorenson's G.I. Joe Field Manual

Summary:
For years the community has been craving a GI JOE art book and and we will soon have one.   JIM SORENSON comes on the show to discuss his upcoming book, "GI JOE FIELD MANUAL".

Mr. Sorenson is an animation historian, archivist, restorer, and enthusiast.  The “GI JOE FIELD MANUAL" is a book that compiles the production artwork for the Sunbow GI JOE animated series and will be published through IDW.

Mr. Sorenson not only talks to us about his previous books about Transformers and this current book he is working on... but he also takes us deep inside his process, from hunting down source material to what it takes to write the book.  The team also discuss the significance of the Sunbow cartoon line to creating the G.I. Joe universe. This episode documents the discovery of the unreleased retail versions of Nano-B.A.T. and Iron Klaw, as well as, compares the figures to the produced Figure Subscription Service (FSS) figures by the G.I. Joe Collectors Club.

JOE lines, but the unreleased NANO-B.A.T. and IRON KLAW specifically have captured the attention of the G.I. Episode #5: ​Unproduced ARBCO Playset

Summary:
This is a two part episode.  The first portion discusses the unproduced ARBCO playset.  It would have been A Real American Hero era playset for Cobra during the Eco Warriors subset.  The second portion discusses the upcoming Retaliation releases.

Episode Info:
The Declassified team discuss the unproduced ARBCO playset and share images for all to see.  This playset was the predecessor to the produced Toxo Lab.  As a bonus, the mystery of what went on 1986 Lowlights left leg is solved.  Also, there is discussion and images of an unproduced General Hawk, a Bomb Disposal character, and the presentation art for Mainframe are part of the first portion of this podcast.   The second portion of the podcasts discusses the unreleased 30th Anniversary Night-Viper and Crimson Guard who are slated for resurrection in Wave 5 of Retaliation, as well as, the upcoming Retaliation releases. This episode documents the upcoming 2012 figures that will be an exclusive release to the Dollar General chain of discount stores.  Also, this episode primarily defines the difference between variants and errors with examples from most era's of G.I. Joe.

The Declassified team take you on a multi-line, multi-era adventure in this episode.  Jason Wells shares his unproduced Desert Headquarters figures. While notpicard and Gyre-Viper journey through some mid-Mesozoic mysteries of the unproduced Jurassic Park figures that used G.I. Joe body parts. Yet, It doesn't stop there as we identify many non-Joe lines that reuse GI JOE parts (and sometimes vice versa).  It's hidden world meets lost world, with over 80 images to accompany this episode. Wayne Miller, author of Toy Wars.  The book documents Mr. Millers full access to Hasbro and some limited access to Mattel and details toy making and toy marketing at Hasbro and Mattel during the 1990's.  On this episode, Jaimanstone (who made this episode happen) and Gyre-Viper sit down with G. Wayne Miller, who revisits his time at Hasbro: the stories, the people, and the ideals. He reads some excerpts from his book and then shows us the coolest shoes never made.
