1990 ​Mobile Battle Bunker

Converts from mobile bunker mode to battle mode – body pulls back, treads retract, and the missile rack extends for action!

The heavily armored Mobile Battle Bunker is a missile firing tank that digs in to form G.I. Joe's invincible line of defense!

The retractable, blast-proof body design thwarts all but the most extreme Cobra attacks.

Cobra's defenses are completely demolished by the front-end, anti-personnel /obstacle battering ram.

The Mobile Battle Bunker neutralizes aerial threats with its swiveling dual pulsating twin machine guns that are fed by the 5000 round capacity laser ammunition dispenser.

Even Cobra's toughest armor can be smashed by fire from the double barreled pinpoint accurate mortar cannon mounted on each side.

Each side cannon can swivel upward to target threats in the sky.

Technically, the side cannons can even provide rear cover.

The heavy duty tank treads propel the Mobile Battle Bunker across treacherous terrain.

The two Joes manning the command control area seats can operate the bunker's features and tactical information via the laser weapons activation lever, the motion sensitive enemy notification system switch, the sophisticated centralized communications transmitter, and the visual monitor for post horizon surveillance.

Two additional Joes can ride into battle on the rear bumper.

The engine and other inner mechanical workings are exposed at the rear, the vehicle's only significant weak point and seemingly a major design flaw.

When additional firepower is required, the top section retracts to deploy a rack of five anti-armor missiles.

The inner compartment seats an additional Joe. However, due to the extreme proximity to the missiles, that seat is only filled by whichever Joe lost the previous night's card game.

The tread assembly can be pulled back to provide greater rear stability when the top section is retracted.

When fully deployed, the rack of five anti-armor missiles points upward at a 45 degree angle.

The vehicle underside unfortunately does not provide much additional sculpted detail.

The lifting arm system performs the work to elevate/retract the top section (and then also return to default bunker mode).
