1982 Lunchbox (Thermos)

This metal G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero lunchbox was created by the Aladdin company in 1982, and included a thermos.

Artwork Scans

The painted artwork is completely original and was never reprinted anywhere else. Lunchbox Variations

Handles and latches came in pairs of yellow or white plastic.

Our white handle/latch lunchbox features a printed barcode. We have seen white handle lunchboxes with and without this printed barcode, though with the barcode seems far more common. We have never seen a yellow lunchbox with a printed barcode.

The yellow Thermos features a three color print of Grunt on a white label. These Thermoses regularly came with white or brown cup/lids. Other color cup/lids have been spotted on the resale market, but this could be a simple swap from any other Thermos of that era. Our two specimens feature a Flip'n'Sip top and a simple plug top.
