Early 1986 Lunchbox (Aladdin) featuring Live the Adventure

This plastic G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero lunchbox was created by Aladdin Industries, who dominated the consumer lunch products category from the 1950s-1980s due to a strategic move in the early 1950s to license popular characters' images on its products.

The painted "Live the Adventure" artwork was created for the 1986 product catalog. The included Thermos featured a line art version of the 1985 product catalog art. Roll over the images below to find out more, or click the images to enlarge them.

This lunchbox was released in early 1986 and included a matching blue lid/cup.

This brilliant artwork was painted by Hector Garrido and featured on the cover of the 1986 product catalog.

Although the Thermos is marked "©1985 HASBRO BRADLEY, INC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED." this set was released in 1986. Note that the Thermos does feature line art of the 1985 characters.

The top of the Thermos lid/cup is emblazoned with the Aladdin logo.

The front of the lunchbox bears the Aladdin logo and a "©1986 Hasbro, Inc. All rights reserved." mark.

The plastic lunchbox handle is emblazoned with the Aladdin logo.
