1994 continued the tradition of oversized, spring-loaded weapons. These powerful weapons shoot over 10 feet.
Most 1994 figures included a weapons tree, a mostly generic selection of previously released weapons, still on the plastic sprues.
Metal-Head's purple weapons tree included a rifle, a machine gun, a pistol, two missiles and a figure stand.

METAL-HEAD is a walking anti-tank weapon! He uses the brain integrated targeting sight implanted into his left eye to get a fix on G.I. Joe tank positions. His anti-tank rocket launcher then senses the target through bio-processors in the handle and locks onto it like a cheetah about to pounce on a gazelle. All Metal-Head has to do is yell "fire" and the rocket blasts off with destructive accuracy. Metal-Head also enjoys skiing with the jet set on the slopes of New Hampshire, where he is known for cutting off other skiers, shooting at chair lifts and being just plain mean! He's a suspected member of the secretive Susu-Gar martial arts clan, and is obviously one guy you never want to see eye-to-eye.

Filecard variant:
There were two versions of 1994 Metal-Head released, one made in China and one in Indonesia. The Indonesian filecard is noted: PRINTED IN HONG KONG. FIGURE MADE IN INDONESIA. 1-003A
In 1994, Hasbro produced figures in China and Indonesia. This resulted in several paint app variants. To compound matters further, Hasbro also changed the card art on some figures from the older horizontal logo (with a red or blue laser backdrop) to a new vertical logo (with a red or blue to black gradient background). The back of the new card also featured a reformatted baseball card sized file card with condensed writing. Several figures did not get the new vertical card art treatment. Metal-Head did not get the vertical logo treatment.
Metal-Head has no known paint app variants. There are two carded figure variants, one marked "MADE IN CHINA" (seen here) and another marked "MADE IN INDONESIA" (above).
