1989 Devastator (Battlefield Robot)

All four Battlefield Robots were designed by Guy Cassaday. He optimized costs by utilizing the maroon gun, missiles, and whip antenna on both Cobra Battlefield Robots and the gray wheels, green whip antenna, missiles and missile rack on both G.I.Joe Battlefield Robots.

NOTE: Although the box art showed Alley Viper manning the Devastator, and he's pictured above, he did NOT come with the Devastator.

The Devastator features several moving parts and play features.

The Devastator features a "Mono Trak” forward mounted hardened-steel steering tread.

In the rear there are dual rotation hardened-steel tracks.

The Devastator is armed with a "Tandem Blaster" dual recoilless .50 cal machine gun and four terrain hugging "HOTS" missiles.

The power-assist servo-operated track steering system swivels left and right. The 50 cal. machine gun also rotates.

The rear-mounted personnel platform can carry one additional Cobra.

The Devastator missile guidance and communications are aided by a tall whip antenna.
