1993 Blast-Off: Flame Thrower (Mega-Marines)

1993 continued the tradition of oversized, spring-loaded weapons. These powerful weapons shoot over 10 feet.
1993 introduced the weapons tree, a mostly generic selection of previously released weapons, still on the plastic sprues.
Blast-Off's blue weapons tree included a machine gun, a rifle, a knife, two missiles and a figure stand.
All six Mega-Marines also came with moldable Bio-Armor, an armor mold and a missile launcher. Blast-Off included a helmet as well.

When it was discovered that Cobra MEGA-MONSTERS were vulnerable to flames and extreme heat, Blast-Off was issued a super-charged flame thrower and immedi ately assigned to the Mega-Marines team. GUNG-HO has given him only one order: to burn those monsters like marshmallows in a camp fire!

The Mega-Marines featured four Joes and two Cobras. The Mega-Monsters featured two oversized genetically enhanced Cobra soldiers.
There were two unique logos for both the Mega-Marines and the Mega-Monsters featured on the front and back of the packaging.
