G.I. Joe: Battleground was a mobile game created by Mobage and DeNA Studios. It was released via Apple's App store and Google's Android store in July 2013 and discontinued in November 2014. Read more and check out screen shots on YoJoe.com.

Cobra logo!
Vehicle logos!
The Cobra Hydrofoil (Moray) has one of the most memorable vehicle logos. The Moray was designed by Ron Rudat and inspired by the speed boats on Miami Vice, which first aired in 1984. Stuart Campbell recreated the infinitly scalable vector eps logo available here.

On the left is a scan of the original 1983 Skystriker logo by Ron Rudat! This image (white bird, black head and claws) was used on the prototype vehicle and is featured on the box art (on black tail fins) before later being inverted (black eagle, white head) for use on the production release with white tail fins. Using the scan (left), we were able to rebuild the inverted, colored version in Photoshop (middle). We made a couple minor changes (colored in the full beak and used more of a mustard yellow than orange for the beak and claws). Terry Dizzard jumped in and vectorized the art so it could be infinitly scaled! You can download the layered photoshop file here or the vectorized EPS version here.

Digitally restoring the 1983 Skystriker tail fin logo got us fired up to work on the parachute art as well. We photographed an original parachute and then spent an hour or two cleaning it up to make this image. You can download the layered photoshop file here.

On the left is a scan of the original line art for the 1986 Cobra Night Raven S³P logo! The middle image is a photo of the actual sticker. Using the original logo scan and the sticker for color reference, we were able to rebuild the logo seen on the right. We made a couple minor changes (colored in the full beak and used thicker outlines on the claws). You can download the layered photoshop file here.

In 1987 Hasbro released the mail order Steel Brigade figure, which allowed collectors to name their own Joe and assign his specialties, training, traits, abilities, and personality. In 2017 Max Hagedorn created the Steel Brigade file card template, allowing collectors to once again create their own Joe characters!
