How do these books compare to previous collecting guides?
As a lifelong collector that started out carrying a handwritten note card checklist and the cross-sale catalogs back in the 1980s, Desimone’s guides in the 1990s, and Bellomo’s hardcover in the 2000s, this is the pocket-sized collecting guide I’ve always wanted: Something you can carry with you to flea markets, estate sales, and conventions and skim quickly to find what you’re missing. These pocket-sized guides will be your secret weapon in the hunt for elusive figures and accessories, file cards, and carded figures!
The 3DJOES Field Guides distinguish themselves from previous collecting guides in three key ways:
1.) The life-size, crystal-clear photography (shown above) is larger than the photos presented in DeSimone's and Bellomo's previous guides.
2.) The pocket-sized form factor of the 3DJOES Field Guides guides makes them much more convenient to carry with you on toy-hunting outings.
3.) Outside of The Art of G.I.JOE: A Real American Hero Omnibus Hardcover, this is the first time the file cards and carded figures will be covered in full, and these guides will add much more information regarding variants. DeSimone's and Bellomo's previous guides have not presented file cards or carded figures. Karen O'Brein's Warman's guide did show packaged figures, but they were small and it was far from a complete presentation.

POLL RESULTS
We were originally considering the four options described below. We presented these to the community for a month, and over 400 of you voted for the options that you would support. Option 4 was the winner with 34% of the vote, with Option 1 coming in second with 26% of the vote. The best part is that Option 1 (one single book that features all figures and accessories from 1982-1994) is covered by Option 4's first volume! This will allow us to meet the preferences of 60% of our voters. During the Kickstarter we're not going to request that folks buy all three volumes if they only want Volume 1, but after the kickstarter all three volumes will likely be sold as a set to help more easily manage the leftover inventory. THANK YOU to all who voted, we appreciate your help in shaping the Field Guides.
